Suggestion: We need more non-conquest CBs

    Posted: 10 Oct 2021 04:14 PM PDT

I think it would be good for the game to have more CBs that are not about conquest. For example CBs over personal grievances. Winning such wars could just give you a one time or continuous tribute, allow you to take hostages or force a diplomatic marriages. The game is too focused on painting the map right now and I think implementing non-conquest wars is a way to allow roleplay and fight without conquering everything within 1 or 2 generations. I would like to hear you ideas for more non-conquest warfare.

Unpopular Opinion: I don't like incest.

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 11:20 AM PDT

I know it makes for a good memes but the amount and absolute ease of incest in CK3 honestly takes me out of the experience. I like to roleplay semi-historical and it just feels like these relationships are completely out of style.

I'm not talking about cousin marriages, those don't both me so much as there's a long history of it irl.

But I'm really tired of doing a run in Western Europe and getting an event that either my Daughter or my Mum wants have sex with me. It is weird, it wasn't a think in the day, and it happens waaaay to often.

I kinda miss CK2 having it just hard baked into religion.

Games with a similar focus on dynasty?

    Posted: 11 Oct 2021 08:13 AM PDT

I'm a big, big fan of the way CK2 turns an otherwise faceless strategy game about history into something quite personal with the way it deals with lineage, dynasties and other good stuff instead of being one faceless nation/faction against another.

That being said, I do wish to find some games with a similar focus on dynasties over factions, and I was hoping to find some recommendations here. I'm looking for something more in the RPG, maybe tactical RPG area, or perhaps even a management game, that could be quite cool.
