    It is strange for a game called Crusader Kings to have such badly functioning crusades

    Crusades in Crusader Kings are one of the most lackluster things in the game. For me one of the only reason to play as a catholic ruler is the crusades to Jerusalem etc but lately I don't even bother joining them.

    The AI is so incredibly bad in the crusades that almost every crusade fails decisiively even if the catholics outnumber 4 to 1. It is rare for the AI to actually make a doomstack and then march to the war target. They always have multiple small stacks that constantly move around and thorugh each other whereas the enemy succesfuly makes one or two doomstacks and just clears every one out.

    It is so frustrating to see that around the map you have the numbers to beat the enemy and very crusade I need to fight the doomstack on my own and even the allied troops around the battlefield refuse to join.

    In my current game lasting for a few hundred years there were 7 crusaded in total and they all failed extremely hard. At the moment crusades are just a way to lose my men so my vassals can revolt back at home...

    Rant over but the crusades are such a big letdown. The ones in CK2 were better, especially with the special items you could get.

    Is CK3 more demanding than HOI4 or Stellaris?

    I have a potato laptop. It stutters when it runs HOI4 throughout the run. On Stellaris, it only stutters on battle or zooming out map.

    But it runs EU4 nicely.

    I can't "read" the spec requirements so I can't judge if one is more demanding than another.

    Easiest way to win as King Harold II

    This is the easiest way I've found to win as King Harold II Godwineson of England in the 1066 start date.

    First marry your kids off to Denmark 🇩🇰, Sweden 🇸🇪, and Scotland. You'll have plenty of troops to crush the beginning holy war.

    That's it. Lol

    Any suggestions for what to do after is greatly appreciated!
