The number of posts featuring bad attempts at using the ruler designer to make real people is too damn high.

Had to try it. Uhtred of Bebbanburg...of Dunholm. Achievement compatible and didn't want to make him a king, so that's why he's at Dunholm. If anyone has a suggestion for a more faithful Uhtred start, do recommend

    Y'know what I would love?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 06:08 AM PST

For player heirs, or just heirs in general, they shouldn't be DEFAULT SET TO BE CHAMPIONS WHEN THEY TURN AN ADULT. I hate having to micromanage my sons, OR GOD FORBID ALL MY CHILDREN, if religion allows it, to not be champions once they come of age. I mean just think, the devs could do a neat event chain where the child asks to be a champion if they actually want to be, right guys?

Ideas for How to Improve Special Buildings?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 10:08 AM PST

I'm going to jump on the "It Sucks That This Special Building Is Disabled" bandwagon but in order to feel proactive I'll echo a previous suggestion: you should be able to alter special buildings so that they are no longer disabled.

So for example, you can pay to alter the Doge's Palace in Venice and make it the Royal Palace of Venice, or something, so that it is compatible with non-republican governments

Or reconsecrate the Hagia Sophia as the "Cathedral of Holy Wisdom" so it works for Catholics, or as the Ayasofya-i Kebir Cami-i Åžerifi so it works for Muslims.

What special buildings would you like to see converted?

Anybody wish they would somehow make playing as a loyal vassal more viable?

    Posted: 01 Dec 2020 12:18 AM PST

I wish there was some way they could give players an incentive to play as a vassal. Or somehow make the role of playing as a vassal more engaging. I know that ultimately seeking independence is what all vassals wish for and is realistic that eventually people will rebel regardless of how good or bad a king is, but sometimes I want to play as a loyal vassal but it gets boring. Perhaps they should make political marriages with your liege more significant, or attempting to use your influence to get as many of your family members to positions of power as possible. Or something, I dunno.
