    Because historical kingdoms hardly ever form and Europe usually turns into a border gore shit show.

    The HRE hardly ever form, France hardly ever forms, etc... like I love thr randomness of the AI but I also want the goals of the AI to be aimed more towards the historical side. I want them to try to form the HRE, to try to form France. I really lose my immersion when it's 1100 and I still see West Francia and the border gore hell in the German regions.

    I got CK3 several months ago, have played it quite a lot, but I'm just not finding it as fun as CK2. The game is too easy—i.e., it is too easy for your plans to work out, and half the fun of CK2 was when your well-made plan goes to shit because of an inopportune death or betrayal. The other half is the stories, and I just don't get the stories I used to with CK2 from CK3—the king who goes mad and leads his country to ruin, the daughter who is captured and turned into an enemy's concubine, the king who is killed by his own wife while raping her. CK3 just seems a little "less" than CK2. Anyone else feel this way?

    So my character is the caliph,and i called jihad on Italy,and only 1 duke 2 counts join my war.But when Pope called crusade on Jerusalem,there were so many rulers joined as defenders,why?
