    PSA: Slovien is a freakishly strong culture in the 1066 start

    Short and sweet PSA on something I discovered when playing as malleable kids with long lives ahead of them. Starting as count Rogier of Foix, at the age of 6, I was looking for cultures to use in my conquest of Iberia and I found that Slovien is one of the best, if not the best:

    1. Has the Zbronojsh heavy infantry, which are quite good when fighting in the Iberian hills.
    2. Slovien starts with House Seniority at the start, this is a big, massive plus. The only other culture that does is the Czech culture, which is crowded, unlike Slovien:
    3. There are no Slovien rulers, at all. It exists as a local culture in northern Hungary (Slovakia region today) but all of the rulers are Hungarian. What this means is that as soon as you convert a province to Slovien, you'll be the culture head. And because there are no rulers but provinces in Slovien, there is always a Slovien character available to train you into becoming one.
    4. It starts with the extra men-at-arms tech for Early Medieval, as well as the ability to get higher crown authority levels. What this means is that, starting as a kid you educate into being Slovien, you will easily have enough time to get to Absolute Crown Authority, and then designate an heir. Doing so with House Seniority effectively gives all of your titles to your child that you prefer, sidestepping House Seniority's old and annoying rulers mechanic entirely. Not having to research the extra men at arms first is great for your conquest as you'll barely have any levies to contribute as a count.

    I think that covers all of the main topics. I'd post pictures of my Slovienia run, which is basically a renamed Hispania + France with half of it as the Slovien culture, but that might be a little too cursed.

    Why am i losing thousands of men during a seige? It says 18-20 per month due to attrition, its more like 50 a DAY. 3000 men tick down to 900! I've tried changing comd. Splitting army etc nothing works. Can anyone help?

    I mean It is very confusing, why tf that woman decided to visit tribal pagan land in far away to your realm and somehow managed to convince their ruler about non-aggression pact.
