Started a campaign in 936AD as a minor count in Brunswick, thought Otto the great would reform the Holy Roman Empire but after a 100 years I gave up. Their family died out and I unexpectedly inherited all three kingdoms, after 10 years of civil wars and expansion I recreated the Holy Roman Empire.

So I was playing as Halfdan of Jorvik, created the Danelaw, all that good stuff, and on my third character I managed to get the Norse pagan holy sites in Norway and Sweden within my realm. I reformed the faith, and decided to implement gender equality.

Gender equality would make me much stronger because I'd stop letting the talents of half my population go to waste, right? No reason to exclude women with high stats from leadership positions, right?

Only problem is that now I have to split my inheritance between twice as many children! My beautiful realm was split into 10 pieces as my daughters inherited on equal footing with the men. I regret ever giving women equal rights. With four sons it would be more manageable, but having to share with women is more than any ruler should have to endure. So I took my primary heir, converted to Catholicism, and am in the middle of waging unrelenting holy war to reimpose the patriarchy on my siblings. It really is the only way to go.

I just deposed 4 holy roman emperors in a row, everyone attacking me with less than half of the amount of troops i (wittelsbach king of bavaria) own so i just smash them everytime

I mean they have a decent reason for attacking me since i created my own catholic heresy which has unrestricted marriage, but i feel like at some point they should just realize they cant beat me

How long can this go on...
