My current ruler is the 15-years old High Queen of Scandinavia who inherited at 12 after her father died suddenly in a duel. His death tore her siblings apart (now orphaned, their mom having died giving birth to the youngest, maybe that was the reason High King Eimar was throwing himself into duels) with each one now ruling a separate kingdom at their young age and having completely opposing interests, so life is stressful.

But recently High Queen Freydis adopted an orange kitten named Flame and her sister Dalla noticed him on a visit. The event has her being charmed, but I like to think just for a few minutes they were just girls and sisters playing with the family cat. No kingdoms, no wars, no big decisions, just them. And I don't know why I'm so emotional lately but it made me tear up.
