No, AI, please, stop. Posted: 06 Jun 2020 05:23 AM PDT So, I'm a lowly Armenian duke under the Byzantines. Life's good, I'm spreading like a cancer inside the Empire, I got a good deal of Armenia, my vassals are somewhat happy, I'm upgrading my shit & stuff, ya know, the usual. Well, well, what do you know, the Seljuks decide that this would be a good time to declare an invasion or Armenia, where almost all of my demesne (capital included) and vassals are located. Not quite optimal, isn't it? I mobilize my puny 3k or so army and try to give whatever help I can to the basileus - hell, those guys ain't gonna get my land without a fight. A few months and a few disastrous battles later, with the Byzantine army in tatters after having attacked the invaders IN THE MOUNTAINS, of course a good half of the empire, the ERE being the ERE, decides, in line with a long standing and proud tradition, to start a rebellion. Life's not good, but, well, what can I do, I just pray and keep trying to unsiege what I can unsiege - when, after a while, I notice that the imperial army is no longer in Armenia. Cursing loudly, i go looking for it and, lo and behold, what is the whole army doing? No, they are not charging across the Bosphorus to engage the rebels' army, ha, that would be SO stupid and naive! Instead, they are charging across the Bosphorus to engage the rebels' army which is about double in size.
