Apparently it's tyrannical to execute the guy who assassinated your brother. They honestly need to fix this in the next game.

How can I stop my mistress from having sex with my son?

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 05:16 AM PDT

It's getting really annoying and messing up my lineage when my son and I are both having sex with the same woman and both have had children from her as now my grandson is some how my sons brother now. And I don't want to imprison either as my son is crucial to my kingdom and as my wife seems to be barren the mistress is all I have left to make babies then legitimize them.

How do I stop fucking my mother?

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 07:05 AM PDT

I'm an heir to a powerful Zoroastrian kingdom, and I think I clicked the event without reading it, so now my mom is my lover. Things are worsened by the fact that my wife is gay. I'm afraid I won't have an heir and will ruin my relations with my father. What do I do?

Tips for starting as a count?

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 09:35 AM PDT

So, I wanted to shake things up a bit and instead of doing a Duke / King / Emperor start, I decided to go for the lowest ranked title of count. A one-county count, in fact. Thing is, I'm at a loss at what to do or look out for to rise through the ranks.

One thing I seized on right away was marrying my heir to a girl with titles - this one is a duchess - and then have his heir inherit those lands (if she doesn't lose them all before the potential new heir gets them).

But what else can I do / look out for?

    CK3-New Pagan Religions

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 04:57 AM PDT

I was wondering if the devs have said anything about paganism in the new game. Particularly pagan regions that did not make the cut in ck2 like Celtic paganism and Mesopotamian/Arabian paganism. Will the Reform mechanics of Holy Fury be present or will we at least get the option to make the religion stand against the proselytizing faiths? I now that it is a bit early to ask this but being a pagan and reforming the faith was something I really liked in 2 and I would be sad if it did not make a return with some new blood to do it with.

    My first playtrough, the story

    Posted: 10 Mar 2020 11:03 AM PDT

I just finished my first playthrought of CK2, and I must say, this is an amazing game and I will keep playing for a long time (hopefully). I decided to share my experience with you guys. Please enjoy yourselfs. Let's start.

I started as the seventhy something Duke Dirk of West-Frisia. Luckily, I already had a son, so I hadn't have to worry about getting an heir as an old man. Things were good. Duke Dirk became a poet. Then I saw one of my vassals starting a faction. I reacted by imprisoning and executing him. I wish I hadn't. Beginner mistake I guess. My vassals started to hate me and more factions popped up. I tried to imprison one of the other faction leader, but that failed. And coused a rebellion. My enemies had way more troops, because all my vassals rebelled and none joined me. I surrenderd (looking back, I should have done white peace, but I was to unexperienced yet). Because of the surrender, I now was my son.

Now I was Count Dirk (Dirkzoon). I was eighteen or nineteen, can't remember exactly. Shortly after the character switch, my cousin Radbod, who had been one of the biggests rebels, killed my old character. And so, my hatred for Radbod. Everyone's hatred actually, because now he was a kinslayer. I already had a wife, Princess Hedwig of Germany. Somehow, the King of Germany allowed his daughter to marry some random indepented Count. I decided to start a war against Radbod. I constantly won battles, but somehow he kept having a big garrison so seiging failed and the warscore kept and kept dropping. Luckily, my back-up plan worked. That was an assasination attempt. And because he had no children, Radbod's province was now mine. Next issue was my heir. Radbod had been my heir, and no I didn't have an heir (of my dynasty). In a total of seven years, my wife would never get pregnant. I got as many fertile increasing traits, the son ambition, but it didn't help. The pope wouldn't let us divorce. So I executed her. Somehow, no war. And my only vassal didn't hate me. I say only, because I had accidently given Radbod's old province away to a man named Douwe. I tought when I gave him the province, he would remain my vassal, but apparantly no. I noe married a debutanté that had come to my court, a woman named Jutte.

She immediatly got pregnant. It resulted in a daughter, whom I named Rita. In the mean while, I gathered the prestige I lost with feasts, summer fairs and great hunts. It resulted in my loyal marshal and only landed vassal, Bishop Robrecht, to become my friend. After a few years, I decided to war against Douwe, to get my province back. It seemed to go right, but then I got imprisoned and died in his dungeons, because of my maiming, courtesy of a bear from a great hunt. The only good things from the war was that during the war, my wife got pregnant again. Sadly, it wasn't a son.

Now, I was a nine year old girl. I as soon as possible, got a betrohal to insure the continuation of my family. Then I skipped ahead until she was an adult. When she was, I married the betrohal dude, an english bastard from Kent, named Cesus (or something like that, can't remember completely). After a few years, I got pregnant. A daughter, unfortunately not a son. My sister later also became an adult. I married her to an german nobleman (both our marriages were matrialinial, don't know the exact spelling). In that time, I got a lot of courtiers, and there claims to press. One was claim on some lond beloging to Denmark. Then Denmark erupted into war. I used the chaos to press the claim. I went well, until I needed to seige. I wanted to enforce my demands, but the Danish King never accepted. In the mean while, to make a statement, I executed a Danish prisoner. Then a germand dude started a war because he didn't like me doing that. I easily beat him after capturing him in battle and enforced my way to victory. Then a dude with five times my troops also warred. He sieged all my cities down and beat my entire army. I had no option other then surrender. And so it all sadly ended. Even sadder was the fact that I during those wars finally had got a son. One positive point were the Danish kings. At the start of my Danish war, there had been four males in the Danish royal family. At the end of my playtrough there was one. In less then a year, I had managed to assasinate three Danish king in a row. Like I said, the one plus point. Sadly, it didn't make up for the ending.

Well, that was my first playtrough. I hope you enjoyed the read.
