    Addicted to CK2

    Posted: 13 Dec 2019 01:49 AM PST

So I've been playing CK2 for about two months. I've noticed that it's super addictive and I'll find myself playing hours into the night. I'm deployed and it's a good escape but I think it's getting out of hand. I've never been addicted to a game before. What do you guys do to combat this?

900 hours into the game and I just discovered that you can assign sub-commanders.

Can anyone help with getting mods from the steam workshop to work?

    Posted: 13 Dec 2019 08:22 AM PST

I downloaded/subscribed to a mod that allows you to cash in your favors for gold, but when I launch the game the tab for mods next to the dlc one isn't clickable.
I boot up the game and try and do what the author says and right click the person that owes me and chose the "get gold" option, but no option exists.

I go into my computer files
    Local Disc (C:)>Program Files (86x)>Steam>Steamapps>Common>Crusader Kings II>mod
In the mod folder there two text files "DontPutModsHere" and "Dummy"
The first says I should put mods in Documents>Paradox Interactive>Crusader Kings II>mod
The only problem is when I go to that there is no folder called mod.
The Dummy file says it is a dummy file to ensure the mod directory is created.

I tried googling and someone on the steam forms gave someone with a similar problem the advice of just creating the mod folder yourself and they said that worked.
So I tried doing that and then resubscribing to the mods, but nothing changed upon launch and the mod folder I created is still empty.

    So idk what to do.
