Why is CK3 obsessed with cuckoldry? Posted: 09 May 2021 09:03 AM PDT It feels like all non-chaste wives are bound to be seduced sooner or later. E.g. my character had non-lustful wife with 100 opinions and she was still seduced by a vassal within two years from the marriage. I feel like married women should have a far higher refusal factor because it is a high risk for religions where adultery is illegal. [link] [comments]

Posted: 09 May 2021 05:43 AM PDT So the raiding system. It's awesome, it's fun, and it's a great way to make a few bucks and snag a waifu or two. My only problem with it really is that Christians can't do it. This doesn't make any sense at all. Christians raiding each other on the Scottish border was so commonplace that it earned the combatants on either side a moniker that has survived to present day. Christians raiding Muslims was also a matter of course, as the byzantines fought off raids and committed counter raids for centuries, the crusaders basically razed the majority of the Levantine coastline, and I mean, seriously, El Cid. I understand that Christianity looks down on it or whatever, but the church also looks down on fornication and I've got more bastards than billiards over here. I'd like to suggest that the raiding mechanic receive a small modification: -All cultures and faiths excluding those with pacifism as a tenet gain a form of raiding ability. Either everybody can raid, or you can put in more restricted raiding for Christianity and the like for flavor and balance if you want to go through that much effort. For example: pagans/tribals get unrestricted raiding. Hellenes and asatru get overseas unrestricted. For Christians, you can use a more limited raiding system, say, borders only, with maybe some special stipulation for raiding pagans and Muslims. A malus/bonus system can also be used to balance things, with warlike pagans gaining a bonus for raiding while Christians take a malus as the church looks askance at raiders. The negative malus should stack and effect the opinion of fellow faithful and the head of faith if one exists, to keep it somewhat on a leash. So, say I'm the bishop of Durham, and those filthy Scots keep reaving the bejesus out of my peasantry. Well, the guy doing the reaving will obviously lose opinion with me. But he'll also lose opinion with his liege, his head of faith, and the rest of Christendom for being a bad boy, and every county he sacks, it gets worse. 6 counties in and you're at -90 opinion with everybody that will ever matter to you in the world, so you're gonna have to sit very still and be very polite for a bit while people forget you're a baddie. Any thoughts? I'm just always so bugged that I can't take my boy the bishop raiding :< [link] [comments]
