Paradox - my wishes for more QoL in CK3 Posted: 22 Dec 2020 04:02 AM PST I really loved CK2 with over 500h played and now i am totally addicted to CK3 already with over 250h of playtime. Of course there could be more stories and events to bring more life to the world, to your dynasty, to your ruler. But i am sure that DLCs and expansions will add these contents in the future. At the moment i primarily ask for some quality of life (QoL) stuff like.. 1) Can i have an auto-accept option for "seeking indulgence", pleeeeease? In my current game i reformed the norse faith Asatru with me being the religious head. Playing a norse warmongering culture i am going for a world conquest which means, that already half of the world has converted to my faith. That is why a "seeking indulgence" request pops up every few seconds. In the first decades i celebrated myself for the boost in income. But now it is really annoying to care for alle the requests - almost feeling like work. I accept every request anyway, so can we please have some kind of "auto-accept" option for it? 2) After 2-3 generations when my breeding program starts to kick in, almost every genius, herculean and/or beautiful character in the world belongs to my dynasty. Finding spouses for my children, grandchildren, etc. becomes a pain in the *** then. I try to avoid inbred at all costs but you have to select every candidate first to see if the family relation does not work out. With a big dynasty with tons of branches the search for the right bride/groom gets even more tedious because there are eligible candidates in your dynasty but you cannot differentiate these from the bad ones. I would like to have a filter option where i can remove all candidates who would bring the inbred risk to the marriage because the family relation is too close. 3) I very often use the character search window (standard key "C"). For example i am checking my court or my vassals. The vassals filter in that case is misleading. The filter chose every vassal in your realm - not only your personal vassals. Would be helpful when one could differentiate between vassals and direct vassals. Then i often use "C" to find good council members who i try to marry to people in my court so they join my court and i can give them an office. Problem is that the search window closes when you try to arrange the marriage. Very often the marriage is not possible (different faith etc.). But you cannot go back to the search window and check out the next candidate. You have to re-open it, sort again (mostly for the required skill) and scroll through to the list ... again. Can be very tedious when you cannot remember who your last candidate was and whom you already checked out in the list or where to continue your search. If the search window would just stay in the state you left it for trying to arrange the marriage and then just go back and choose the next candidate would be great. 4) Ah... and btw. can you please reduce the amount of window climber? I cannot count how many guys and girls already knocked at my window in mistake... this event is just lame and only funny for the 1-2 times. I did not count but i am sure i had > 100 wrong directed secret lovers knocking on my window. ;-) Ok, i have to go back to my Scandinavian Empire now to kill of the rest of the Byzantium. :D [link] [comments]

Has anyone else noticed single newly landed vassals never getting married? Posted: 22 Dec 2020 07:39 AM PST You're 30, you're lustful, you have land, and I don't want to deal with this county again, so why are you single 30 years later and passing it back to me? Is this a pattern for anyone else? [link] [comments]
Is it too easy for children to survive? Posted: 22 Dec 2020 09:27 AM PST I've only been able to play across multiple generations in CKIII once so far, but one of my initial impressions is that the death rate for children is too lenient. I think I've had three full generations after my starting character, and only two child deaths, one of them a stillborn that also killed the mother. To contrast with a real figure I read about just now, taking from The Habsburgs: The Rise and Fall of a World Power King Rudolf the One-Eyed sired 21 children, only 11 of which lived to adulthood. Am I just very lucky (or "lucky", given the fact of split inheritance) and others here can attest to regularly having a third to a half of their kids clapped by the Reaper, or is my experience typical? If the latter, I think it would be a nice to be able to ramp up child death as an option, to ease back on the rate at which realms get partitioned in the early game and to insert some more 'drama' as houses go extinct and their realms go to others without so much need for manual skullduggery. Why do so many of my male relatives have affairs with women about 30 years older than them? Posted: 22 Dec 2020 07:57 AM PST Almost every few months I get an event telling me a brother or some other relative of mine has been caught having an affair, and it's usually with random women (like guests or lowborns in a foreign court) who are far older than they are.
