If there's a more fitting, written descriptor for this game I haven't found it yet:

This is how 10% of male players see CK3 troops and battles. Yet Paradox makes no effort to include a colorblind mode in their games and leaves it up to modders.

    CK3 Should Have Celtic Paganism

    Posted: 12 Sep 2020 09:06 AM PDT

    Paradox,

You have the pagan religions that existed in the Middle Ages, that's great. You've even had Hellenism since CK2 Holy Fury, which was dead but sure, everyone claimed to be heir to Rome.

Now in CK3 you have all sorts of various indigenous Asian and African faiths, and can even revive dead religions. Why, then, is Celtic paganism not a thing in any form? The closest you have is Insular Christianity; which is great, but still Christianity.

You even have a decision as a Celtic culture that gives you a Tuatha Dé nickname, and they were the old gods of the Celtic people. Why, then, can one not revive Celtic paganism?

Hell, it would even have possible gameplay boons, like in the CK2 Paganism Revived Mod. You could have decisions for forming a Fianna mercenary group for example, or have a system like Slavic paganism in CK2 where you choose your patron deity and be granted benefits. We even have contemporary records of Celtic pagans from Julius Caesar, that can be used for research into how else to incorporate Celtic pagan religion into gameplay - hell even make it a decision for an Insular Christian to "Worship the Old Gods" or something [or just a general discount to converting to Celtic paganism if Insular].

Ninja edit: There's always the count that "oh Celtic paganism's been dead since the 400s, why add it?" To retort, the ties of Celtic Christians to the past is so strong that y'all even added that with Insular Christianity. It's less of a leap for an Insular king to go Celtic pagan than a new Roman emperor to go from being devoutly Catholic to all of a sudden worshipping Jupiter.
