    God damnit paradox, sort this out. In CK2 I always knew my game was unpaused because the frame rate would dip into 30s. How in the hell am I supposed to know if my game is paused or not in CK3 if your broken ass game holds steady 100+ FPS regardless of speed?

    Since of course I realise this is Reddit: /s. Loving the game, can't wait to finish work and get back to it

    The removal on the army linking system is exposing some real flaws in the combat system.

    The early Britannia Viking wars always felt very fulfilling on Ck2 with the Catholic armies linking in huge numbers to take on the Vikings. This was sustainable for 2 reasons.

    • Smaller armies would simply link into yours, creating vast numbers that would be under your control and away from AI decision making.

    • You could link to larger armies meaning that even if their movement made no sense you wouldn't be overwhelmed by large forces when you inevitably met them.

    Now that you can't link armies this isn't possible and the starting wars here feel pretty bad. You have to hawk eye your allied units to see where and when they're moving and then quickly follow them and because neither of the above two points can be achieved their flaws in decision making are pretty heavily exposed. I just lost against both vikings despite us probably having enough units to fight them off, all because I couldn't get myself and my allies into the same place and they were simply standing still.
