Can anyone talk me through a nomad playthrough? Posted: 18 Feb 2020 08:01 AM PST I did a few, halfhearted and limp-wristed ones a few years before, but quickly found myself going feudal on accident (oops!) and so never really mastered the art of the steppes. The only mechanic I really understood and could effectively utilize was making sure my heir ran his own mercenary outfit for awhile because it tended to give martial traits and mercenary traditions, but I haven't really gone back since then, so any synergy with Way of Life, Monks and Mystiques, Jade Dragon, etc. I have no clue about. How do I maximize the growth of my throat-singing horde of land pirates? Can I feasibly control a long stretch of the Silk Road and reap the benefits? How do I settle my people someplace? Is there a better way of securing alliances and confederations with other steppe people or do I have to beat them all down and absorb them the hard way? I ran a search but most of the related results were from four years ago, when HL was first released, or only contained a single slim reply. [link] [comments] |
