One feature I hope appears in ck3 is a random world generator

Title. Shattered realms is a fun alternative to the historic settings (just randomising nations)... but what I'd really like to see down the line with ck3 is a true random world generator (much like the random new world setting in EU4).

What I personally think is the most important warfare feature to add to CK3.

    Posted: 27 Oct 2019 04:27 PM PDT

Considering how CK2 was supposed to be about the Crusade period. I've always been confused by its inability to portray warfare of that era. There was the usual 'muster all the levy and March out' war. But a lot of it were skirmishes and border frictions between factions like the byzantine and Muslim, who's princedoms were less in a standard war and peace situation and more always at war unless there's a specific truce! Raiding into each other's terratory and slowly pushing out the other back! Borders changed wildly from year to year and was never a 1 time thing.

I really hope this is represented in CK3, in CK2 you'd just declare a massive war and call in everyone every time. While the other side brings their levies from hundreds of kilometers away to fight you! What if instead you had to maintain fortification all over the border and it's more of a pull and push game that is not happening once a decade. But literally all the time! With the occasional 'real war' being initiated with massive battles happening only when a side wants to go in for a big objective or retake an important lost city!

This system of fighting barony to barony would also apply to raiders, nomads and tribes who aren't the most interested in filing a legal claim with Pope when they could March in take as much land as they possible could! I just think EU4 style clean cut wars aren't really able to portray the era correctly. At least not by themselves!

I could see it (for example) working the same way raiding works in CK2 granting hostile relations modifier but instead of pillaging the land. You're wrestling control away from the other side. It could a lot deeper than that, this is just an example to convay what I'm trying to suggest.
