Dev Diary #75 - In the Event of Court Events

    Posted: 28 Sep 2021 09:08 AM PDT

It's almost hard to play this game passed a couple generations simply because of the lack of content. We desperately need Royal Courts.

    Posted: 28 Sep 2021 02:08 AM PDT

I feel like after one ruler I've practically seen all the events the game has to offer for the religion/culture I'm playing. The lack if peace time decisions is pretty disappointing as well. I feel like besides a handful of schemes, all I can do is call a hunt/host a feast/go on a pilgrimage. I understand that content takes time but I really hope Royal Courts come out very soon.

I absolutely love CK3 but It's very hard for me to play passed the first couple rulers. I see everyone forming these great empires and restoring Rome and I would love to do that as well but I just end up losing interest. Once I form my first legit empire or hold a couple kingdom titles I usually just quit and start a new campaign. I have a couple memorable campaign that I played longer than I normally do, but most of my campaigns just blend together and it's unfortunate.

Contrite should be a Virtue for Christians

    Posted: 28 Sep 2021 08:12 AM PDT

As said in the title, I think that the coping trait Contrite should be a Virtue for Christians. It was always considered to be a virtue and was stressed and "formalized" as an important pillar of penance in the Council of Trent.

As far as gameplay goes, it's not really a good coping trait; Sure, it's not as bad as it gets (like, Flagellant, Drunkard and Improvident), but I think that making a virtue is both thematically great considering how important turning away from sin, which is the natural state of man, is for Christianity, and also from a gameplay perspective as I like dynamic Virtues you can earn through managing your character beyond just raising them. I think it adds flavor to the game like how Germanic Paganism has One-Eyed as a Virtue.

The fact that the tenet "Ritual Cannibals" is basicly scam is very frustrating.

    Posted: 28 Sep 2021 07:00 AM PDT

I am very frustrated by the fact that the Ritual Cannibalism tenet gives 0 opportunities to become a cannibal. Considering the amount of work you have to put in to reform your faith only for you to realise that it is absolutely useless.

The only "viable" way to get the trait I have found is to park your character on the intimidation focus and pray. And the fact that Paradox have churned out a DLC and is working on another one instead of taking step back and looking at some of the useless tenets does not help.

Sorry for the rant, I was just really looking forward to making my taiga cannibals and was absolutely estatic when I finally could reform only to be smacked in the face for my hard work.
