Why do NPCs make such stupid marriage choices?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 06:50 AM PDT

Like, I've inspected my sons' choices a few times before I allowed them to marry freely, and it's like they choose to go for the worst options there are. Instead of marrying a person with good genetic traits, they marry ugly people or otherwise genetically deficient out of pretty unremarkable families. But I have to assume there's some underlying reason as to why the AI is marrying these subpar specimens. Does anybody know what guides their behavior? What does the AI look for when it's choosing a partner? Also, do they get worse choices if they have to choose as counts than if it's me, the king, sending the offer?

CK3 can't usurp the empire title

    Posted: 30 May 2021 08:43 AM PDT

Is there seriously no other solution or workaround for usurping a title from someone while they are at war? I am trying for 5 years to usurp the Byzantine Empire title but the basileus is at constant wars. He is weak but bejezuz...
