What DLC are you looking for/expecting?

    Posted: 26 May 2021 11:34 PM PDT

    I'm hoping we get:

    • Republics / trade: we really need an economic system in my opinion. maybe rip off Imperator's. The Res Publica mod does the government side really well, but the economy side is still lacking.

    • Byzantine rework: the Byzantine succession is something that definitely needs more detail, and in the same DLC we'd probably just more Greek flavor which is sorely needed, and maybe some decisions surrounding Hellenism and becoming Alexander the Great's successor or something along those lines.

    • Professional armies: German mercenaries, Italian condottieri, etc. Probably could be rolled into the republic DLC, but either way, professional armies could definitely do with an expansion, as they played a big role in the middle ages, especially the latter part.

    • Standing armies: they became pretty common as time went on, and would make for an interesting mechanic, maybe being used to increase control at the cost of popularity or something, and also no difference in costs due to not being raised.

    • Holy Wars: for a game about the Crusades, we don't get a ton of Cruasde-related flavor, and having Jihads actually penetrate into Europe would add a nice challenge too, because I don't think I've ever seen the Muslims take any Christian holy sites yet.

    • More diverse feudalism: CK has always been based on French feudalism; splitting it up regionally would be really cool, because the different varieties of feudalism were all actually really distinct.

    • Baltics/Teutonic Knights: the Teutonic knights were pretty badass, and seeing Eastern European flavor would be nice, as its a really interesting place.

We need a coat of arms designer

The random system is absolutely atrocious, especially given that we have an in-depth ruler designer, and it's probably far easier to implement the COA designer.

    Endgame satisfaction

    Posted: 27 May 2021 07:52 AM PDT

With almost every other long strategy game, there is a cool screen once you finish your campaign. Total war shows the land you've conquered, Civ shows stats and graphs and land. Both have timelapses. CK3 was a super long campaign that took multiple days. I wish the endgame screen had been better. It would be so cool to see all of the positions your descendants got to (without having to search for it yourself). Visually it would be cool to see the impact your dynasty/house made in the world on an endgame screen. Just seeing the characters you played was unsatisfying. (I still really enjoyed the campaign, and by no means did this ruin it for me, I just wish there was something that made it worth it to complete a campaign).
