    You know who's fat?

After my Norman ancestors obliterated Italian culture, Marco of Cagli, the last Italian in the world, helped restore the Italian heritage and tutored 2 generations of Imperial heirs and their siblings. At 99 years of age this man may now retire in humble Glory.

R5: He was my fourth born son, but luckily he was demon spawn and killed all his siblings. Then Jesus started giving him military advice.

Don't you think, that sexual orientation of AI controlled characters should be hidden from the player? And be revealed only through event in case you are trying to seduce someone, or this character is close to yours (spouse, friend, etc)

My in-game daughter was killed and honestly I'm still trying to get over it ;_; (explanation in comments)

My son castrated me and I'm not even mad

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 04:52 AM PDT

My boy was court physician and tried to cure me of an illness I contracted when I devoured some prisoner because I'm a filthy cannibal ever since I got lost in the mountains on a pilgrimage to Santiago.

So me, a healthy king with a rather adventurous spirit allowed my son to do more than usual and let him experiment. Obviously the only cure for a disease that you get from eating a corpse is to get paralyzed and chop your dick off.

Apparently it was a disastrous treatment but I don't think so as I cant father any more cunts that would try to split up my realm because everyone follows rules that some douche long time ago came up with for some reason. Now my son is also a novice physician so it's a double win.

tl,dr: My son castrated me to cure an illness and I'm not even cocked about it

    CK3 Needs Non-Aggression Pacts

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 03:22 AM PDT

Alliances are much too easy to acquire in CK3. All you have to do is have a child. My tiny Irish county can call upon the great French army.

In CK2, gaining a powerful alliance was very satisfying because you typically had to strategize how to make them like you. You'd have to marry off your child as well as park your chancellor in your potential allies' capital in an effort to gain favor. Gifts were important. Even then, some rulers would not ally with you due to political reasons. Non-aggression pacts being the result of royal marriages made sense.

The new alliance system in CK3 is a step back. Thoughts?

2000 piety for a claim on a small piece of land seems like a fair deal

Drawn to the flame event is... questionable. Or someone at paradox is really into lepers. Not the first time this has happened either. Lepers, plauge victims, disfigured monsters suffering from the great pox, my character is fucked up.

    What about rival houses/dynasties?

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 04:03 AM PDT

Like what if that dynasty or house that yours always ends up going to war with and has consistent personal rivalries with can be a rival dynasty/house.

    Ck3 - Overhauling Genetics

    Posted: 27 Oct 2020 07:24 AM PDT

Ck3 is a massive step up from ck2 in terms of genetic mechanics, it's honestly incredible. But I personally feel there are a few changes to suggest:

    1. There are too few bad inheritable traits. Weird thing to complaing about, but it bugs me that the balance is so skewed. I'm not even certain what most of the bad traits look like, and I have 100 hours in this game, because you just don't see them very often. Theoretically, you should see a similar amount of people below average intelligence as you see people above average intelligence. I think this has too do a lot with events in the game spawning characters with good congenital traits, upsetting the balance in the over all gene pool.
    2. We have "Giant" and "Dwarf" but it would also be cool if we had more intermediate height traits, like simply "tall" and "short" - similar to how we have a tiered system for genius, beautiful, and herculean congenital traits.
    3. I think more characters should have inheritable traits. The majority of characters in the game don't have any congenital traits. This takes some fun out of setting up marriages with your courtiers because if someone doesn't have any congenital traits, to the game there's nothing special about them from a genetic standpoint. Are you telling me that 90% of people have perfectly average height, intelligence, constitution, and beauty? That's not how it works in real life.
    4. Personality should be somewhat affected by genetics. We have evidence for this in real life. It would make setting up marriages a lot more fun if you have some expectation that if you wed two sadistic characters together, they have a decent probability of producing a kid with the sadistic or the callous trait. It also encourages the player to marry their successful courtiers with each other even if they have no congenital traits.
