I wish we could write little epitaphs for our characters as they die, something more to look back on than just their stone cold faces. Particularly proud of this little run/family from young Count Eudes to mighty Roman Emperor by 1068.

How do you lay foundations for strong economy in early game?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2020 09:21 AM PDT

My go-to strategy is to get extort subject decision from stewardship and radiant for theologian for consistent income (ask gold) and be as peaceful as possible before I build up my 5 or 6 holding capital (built baronies) with economy in mind.

Extorting subjects even with tyranny I think is broken. You pair it with soon forgotten and penalties are negligible especially if your vassals are of your dynasty.

Still not sure if asking your head of faith for some gold is impactful enough but I found these two much more reliable than fabricating weak hooks and exchanging them for gold that most likely raise a lot of stress.

Oh and Heregold and being greedy are also some massive benefits as well
