The "realism" of CK2 and the "unrealism" of EU4 and Vic2

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 01:05 AM PDT

Let me start by saying this, I think there is no other game like CK2, it really is one of its kind. I haven't seen the mix of role playing as a human being and "empire building" in any other games ( suggestions are always welcome xD). The more you think about it the more it feels like that's exactly how power and "ruling" has always worked. I bet even the most ruthless, most top down types of leaders have twenty different subordinates jockeying for influence and power. Vic2 and EU4 doesn't seem to have any of those elements. For me, Vic2 and EU4 just strike as "unrealistic". Where are the personalities like Bismark and Napoleon III, the complex bureaucracies, ambassadors, the deal making and the backstabbing and the general skulduggery and intrigue that defined those periods (and every period that came before and every period that came after xD)

Found this bug in multiplayer, my friend did an imperial marriage and on my side it showed that he was married to a man. We reloaded saves and weren't able to replicate the glitch.

    CK3 - First playthrough character?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 08:22 AM PDT

So with the Crusader Kings 3 release date less than a month away, I think it's high time we have a discussion about who everyone is planning of playing with for their first play though.

Personally I'll be going for Malsnectan a Muirebe in 1066 - grandson of the legendary McBeth, Duke of Moray and title claimant to the crown of Scotland!
