The things I realize after well over a thousand hours in this game...

Search for a woman in diplomatic range who will join your court who is young, attractive, and has high intrigue.
Take seduction focus and seduce her. DO NOT MARRRY HER AND DO NOT LET HER GET MARRIED!
Become lovers.
Pick any unmarried man you want to kill. Marry her off to him.
Spouses give a bonus to plot power. Since she has high intrigue, if you're lucky, he'll also make her spymaster. Since she's your lover, she's very likely to join all of your plots.
Kill that motherfucker.
Invite your lover back to court. Repeat.

You now have your own pet Black Widow and can probably kill any unmarried man with relative ease, and without having to invite any other plotters. You could do this in reverse, but unmarried women in positions of power are rare, so that might be less useful.

Bonus: Until your plot is successful, most (if not all) of his kids will end up being your secret bastards and he'll die cuckolded.
