The Problem is that India behaves itself.

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 08:52 AM PDT

It's a common theme that people say that India is boring, and maybe shouldn't have been in the game.
I'm of the opinion that the problem is that India behaves itself.
Look at all the weird stories we tell here in this forum; a lot of them are (apparently) even done by the AI sometimes.
We're so weird that when am excited newbie comes to the forum with a wild story about a horse and a sister, we're like, "But... that's normal." And here, it is.
How many of us have looked up from our kingdom, to see the the rest of Europe doing something... ridiculous?
But India? Every time I scroll over there... it's just, like, three kingdoms battling it out, or something. Once in a while it's semi-united.
But I've never said, "Why is everyone in India an Irish Norseman/woman?" "Why is the HRE empire in India and ONLY India?" "What's that little county labelled "India" doing in west Africa?" "Why is India ruled by a horse?" "How did India blob half the map while I wasn't looking?"

Nah, its always... doing something modest and semi-realistic. But Europe, even without our interference, is all crazy-pants half the time, with nonsensical border gore, Ireland in Africa, or a Satanic pope, or a Miaphysite Caliphate, or horses and sisters or something. The stories are endless.

Why does the AI behave in India?

Or... even better, has anyone ever seen the AI do something insane with India?

    Achievements That Should Exist

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 09:50 AM PDT

Not sure if this thread exists already, but has anyone here ever done something in-game and thought "huh, there definitely should be an achievement for that," or just had a quirky idea for one? For example:

A hidden perk of playing as a Hindu: Casteist Concubine Assassins

    Posted: 16 Oct 2019 08:54 AM PDT

Hindu characters get significant opinion penalties to their liege if they have no caste, or the 'incorrect' caste for their holding type (Kshatriya for castles, Brahmin for temples and Vaishya for cities). This applies even if they aren't landed- they merely need to be in court.

If you want a character dead but no one in their court wants to join your plot, then depending on their religion you can offer concubines to their courtiers/council members to boost your plot power.

Here's an example. Penalties for wrong culture, wrong religion, wrong caste holdings and no caste stack up enough that your newly-sent concubine is usually willing to join your plots.

I managed to get plot power up to >100 by sending a few Hindu courtiers as concubines to my target's court.
