Russian Culture should have Longships regional innovation

Longships were used by east slavic tribes to navigate large rivers the whole time. They were called "Ladya" which then developed into a more modern word "Lodka" in Russian language which means "boat". Their design was for sure inspired by Norse drakkars, but the fact that Russian culture doesn't have Longships is not historical and also detrimental to gameplay.

After assimillation of Norse lords into east slavic culture, the princes of Kievan Rus regularly used longships for trade and for raiding of Byzantine and Bulgarian lands. It would be nice to have this represented by Longship technology being available for Russian culture.

I hope a future patch fixes this thing

Does "playing tall" usually involve a lot of waiting around for cultural innovations, or am I doing it wrong

    Posted: 13 Apr 2021 05:40 AM PDT

Wanted to start a 847 new save where I play tall in the duchy of vengi and make full use of the gold mine in my realm, but I've already maxed out the buildings I can construct before my culture learns the Burhs and Battlements innovations, and though my ruler is Feudal I'm still in the Tribal period (it's ~905 right now), so that means it's going to be like another hundred years before I can fully learn those two unless I'm completely specced for Learning. I'm taking the time to carefully manage my vassals and convert culture/religion, but it also feels like there literally isn't much I can do right now until I'm able to upgrade all of my buildings, which require multiple cultural innovations. Is it usually this slow to start out playing tall, or am I doing something wrong?
