CK3 - A feature to collect your created characters and let them appear as AI-characters.

One feature I love about Stellaris is, that you can create various species and save them, and they can reappear as AI-opponents in any game you may play later on. It adds a certain level of immersion to the game, as your past gameplay with one of your self-created species turns into a kind of lore - or at least adds to your relationship towards them.

I would like to see something similar for CK3 characters. Save any character you create in your own collection of characters and have them reappear in later games as AI characters if you like. Set some rules where and how they should appear, totally random, as an adventurer, a member of your court or a king, and so on. And then just meet your old friends again under new circumstances.

Maybe it would be nice to even be able to pick AI-generated characters from mid-game and be able to add them to your collection too if for some reason you like them well enough?

    Well what do you think?

Is there any news on a release date for republican and mercantile state features? I want to play as characters in the Mediterranean/Italy so bad. This game is the most addicting thing I've every purchased. More so than adderall (allegedly).

Did these Northmen come from the moon?

    Northmen of no fixed abode

(It should be said up front, I'm quite new to CK3 and CK in general, I'm around hour 60 and this is my second playthrough.)

It's 978 AD and I'm a second generation king of Scotland. All local norsemen have been eradicated, the Danelaw is gone, Scots culture is rising and English King Æthelwulfson and I have been good friends.

But this is the third time an army of 6,000+ northmen under Jarl Önundr Einnarson have teleported to my shores. The first two times, King A. and I sent pieces of them home in several small handcarts. Unfortunately we've both been involved in other wars and our forces are depleted. Also, King A has just died of leprosy (it seemed impolitic to ask his relatives for details).

I've no objection to a horde of norse invaders, and if they end up taking my turf that's all well and good, we can rebuild. However, this bearded bête noire doesn't seem to come from anywhere. The "duchy" of Jarldom of Northmen Army has no home (clicking the escutcheon, if that's the word, focuses on my turf) and the invading ruler has massively negative prestige and no dynasty to speak of. Moreover each time they arrive, they are replete with 6k-8k Special Troops without apparent reason. They're not from Norway, Sweden, Ísland, Denmark or anywhere else, those lands don't have the numbers and aren't even all norse.

So, did they come from the moon?

Do more experienced players know how long this goes on for? Are they going to keep raiding for decades, never depleted even if wiped out to a man? Can I find this data anywhere? I'm at home with a text/hex editor if there's a game file with this data in I can paw through.

Personally - others would likely disagree and may be right - this spoils the experience a bit for me, I was hoping for a strategy game based on the actual state of the world, historic or otherwise. If Einnarson is just going to keep teleporting in from his moonbase without justification, he may find that our highland religion permits holy console commands to spawn an equal number of special troops fighting for the Scots to defeat him and then mysteriously vanish. Or is this style of forced teleport conflict just endemic to CK3 and likely to recur globally over the next few centuries?
