Like father like son, continuing the roman tradition of hoarding gold. The family circle keeps spinning.

Disinheriting children should have far heavier consequences in CK3

    Posted: 28 Feb 2021 01:59 PM PST

The go to response to anyone who complains about primogeniture being locked so far ahead in time is to spam disinherit all your kids until only one is eligible for your titles anyway. To me, this is absurd and destroys any premise of role playing (which, let's face it, is stale and repetitive enough anyway due to the lack of content) since you're just cheesing mechanics to make up for an arbitrary limitation.

While I think primogeniture and high partition should be available far earlier, I have some ideas to heavily disincentivise spamming disinheritance on most of your kids.

    • Make the renown hit far higher, and make other people's opinion of you be a lot more affected by renown
    • Unless your child is a criminal or of a hostile faith, disinheriting them should be a tyrannical action
    • Opinion malus from the child is a wrist slap. -80 opinion when your child probably has 100 opinion of you anyway pretty much means nothing.
    • Disinheriting children all the time should make others less willing to marry into your dynasty, not just because of your lower renown but a separate, heavier malus
    • Disinheriting kids should allow rulers you have an alliance through marriage with to break it and significantly damage future relations with them
    • If you disinherit a child unfairly, there should be an event for vassals who dislike you to support them as a pretender

Achieve Álmost There in Under 5 Minutes

    Posted: 01 Mar 2021 07:19 AM PST

2.5%? Only 2.5% of players have completed this achievement? Those are some rookie numbers. Let's try to get it to 5% by the end of the week.

Here's how to get it done in under 5 minutes:

Step 1: Take the Decision "Prepare to cross the Carpathians"

Step 2: Declare war on Bulgaria with the migrate to Panomia CB

Step 3: Find a nice Christian girl to settle down with

Step 4: Unpause and begin clobbering the Bulgarians

    • If they are allied with the Byzantines I would reset. You could probably beat them both but it would probably take much longer than 5 minutes

Step 5: Win the war. Make county rank and higher vassal like you

    • I did this by giving most of my land to my son and then also giving him any disgruntled vassals

Step 6: Divorce your wife and marry that nice Christian girl

Step 7: Adopt the faith of your new wife

    • You might not have enough piety to do this so either wait for it to naturally increase or go on a quick pilgrimage

If you would like to see a video of me following these steps, here it is for your viewing pleasure.

That's it, now get out there and achieve this achievement. Thank you for your time.

I don’t know if it’s a common thing, but I find it pretty interesting that daughter decided to honor her dad's memory by renaming the house's motto! She even added a hyperlink, so I could see who this Loan actually is!

Would be interesting to show the player character marching to war and clashing with the enemy warlord.
