    I know it's a damn lake! Tell me which lake it is!

    Every lake in the world from Lake Geneva to Lake Balkhash simply says "Lake" when the cursor hovers above it. This is not only very uninformative but also very disappointing. If you go check in the files, the devs were apparently too lazy to give all lakes separate names so they all jumbled them together in groups and made them all just say "lake". At least in CK2 all lakes were named correctly.

    This makes it currently impossible to have lakes display their name. Even though if you change a lake to a sea, it will suddenly display its name.

    I've seen some "hopelessly" powerful faction screenshots on here lately and wanted to show how I've overcame them.

    Step 1: "the truffle shuffle" option. look for the lowest tier faction members and start transferring them under the most powerful faction members with high opinion of you. This next part is important, you only get a one-time +40 opinion modifier for doing this per faction member so spread it out. Troublesome vassals also have a nasty habit of being greedy/ambitious. You killed 2 birds with one stone by giving your headache vassals to someone else.

    Step 2: "the booty kissing" option. Gifts, seduction and sway as tactfully as possible. If you are strapped for cash, than save your money for mercenaries. If time is of the essence, sway/seduce the most powerful vassal(s) you can within your time frame.

    Step 3: "the desperate upgrade" option. Create a title if your budget allows for it and give it to a faction member, than continue with step 1. This works best if you are an emperor giving a kingdom title, then slide some angry vassals under him. If it comes to this option, I am usually stuffing anyone I can fit under this guy and dealing with him after the faction dissolves.

    Step 4: "the geopolitical solution" option. If the other options aren't working, PAUSE the game! Switch your spouse's assignment to diplomacy bonus and your chancellor to foreign affairs. Once this is done, it is time to shuffle your children and sibling's betrothals for the most powerful alliances you can get.

    Step 5: if all else fails, and the timer for ultimatums are looking large, look at the faction leader's primary holding/capital. SPAWN your troops there right before their ability to issue an ultimatum comes due.

    Step 6: If you are here, you've lost the war. Enjoy your new overlord!

    Important note: Getting a white peace is just as good as winning the faction war. Why?! Because after white peace you get an imprisonment justification for all faction members. This let's you clobber your vassals one by one after you've sued for white peace.
