Yep, that's 5 major revolts in the Muhallabid kingdom. And each and every one of them is for a claimant.

I'm excited for CK3 but I wish the map was prettier

    Posted: 04 Mar 2020 09:36 AM PST

Looking at the pictures, the map is kinda "meh" for 2020. Even Rome Total War 2 (a game from 2013) has a prettier map than CK3. And that's a shame because we're going to spend so much time looking at this. It's important to have an immersive experience.

The best defense is defense, The best attack is attack

Unpopular Opinion: CK3 would be a lot more interesting if it allowed peasant revolts to force reforms, like the Magna Carta, allowing you to maybe even have a "democratic government" hundreds of years earlier.

It's unrealistic, but so is the Aztecs conquering half of Europe within 200 years. I think it would be cool to have elections, where the more developed and happy your people are, the more likely your dynasty will keep control. You could develop your own constitution(could be like the Pagan Reformation, but with your government) setting your own term limits, whether to be secular or not, ect.

House of Amrid, despite being a cadet of Abbasid, is not sayyid due to missing tag on ancestor.

    Posted: 04 Mar 2020 04:01 AM PST

All members of the cadet house of Amrid (https://i.imgur.com/OiqM48q.png) are devoid of the sayyid trait (https://i.imgur.com/PyW8cVZ.png), despite their ancestor, al-Harith, being a member of the Abbasid (https://i.imgur.com/152jscO.png) and a son of a sayyid, Abdullah (https://i.imgur.com/id9kjET.png). What makes this even stranger is the fact that his siblings, Abdullah's children, are sayyids (https://i.imgur.com/viPiZBt.png). This issue that affects House Amrid, I think, stems from al-Harith, as neither of his sons are sayyids either, despite their grandfather being a sayyid (https://i.imgur.com/3KUXWbS.png).

I've checked the defines, and it seems to be "flagged" as the paternity of the IDs is valid; while Abdullah, his father, is tagged with the trait, sayyid, al-Harith, nor his sons are (https://i.imgur.com/ZrXSsoG.png).

To attempt to resolve this issue, I disabled all of my mods (https://i.imgur.com/SROsByX.png) and verified my installation of Crusader Kings 2 (https://i.imgur.com/b0a6Y42.png). This has not resolved the issue.

Any suggestions? I'm going to attempt to make a hot-fix [1], and see if it is communicative throughout. Although, I thought that the sayyid trait was already communicative and didn't require "flagging" in such a way?

    I've found further instances of this, within Abbasid itself: https://i.imgur.com/dbKRD3z.png, https://i.imgur.com/LXq4yaj.png, https://i.imgur.com/mwJfVhV.png, https://i.imgur.com/UM4YTk4.png, https://i.imgur.com/7wfVz4i.png.

It still seems to be a problem in 867 Abbasid too: https://i.imgur.com/kWBQOXB.png, https://i.imgur.com/Xcfqr0j.png, https://i.imgur.com/FEVjSoC.png.

    [3] Yet more instances, this time in Fatimid, by 867: https://i.imgur.com/jUOZdbt.png, https://i.imgur.com/Ch1YyR6.png, https://i.imgur.com/7Ra2A4y.png, https://i.imgur.com/l7HrVVI.png.

Having gone through the entire family tree of Muhammadian descendants, it seems this is only an issue with Abbasid [2], and the Abbasidian cadet house, Amrid.

[1] Just for 769, because honestly, this seems to be spiraling out of control.

[2] Up until 867, that is. See [3].
